Reduction In Power Tariffs To Lower Electricity Bills
In an effort to reduce electricity costs throughout the province, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday that power charges would be lowered.
Punjab is the first province to voluntarily lower electricity costs, according to the Information Department. The chief minister gave his approval for Punjab’s power companies to lower their tariffs. The decision was made during the 26th Punjab provincial cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Maryam Nawaz.

The provincial cabinet has authorized a rate cut for Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power Private Limited and Punjab Thermal Power Private Limited, which is a major step to lessen the energy burden on consumers.
