Inter-Ministerial Committee Formation

The convener of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) is the Minister of Industries and Production. This committee comprises significant ministers and secretaries, who will oversee the process.

As stated in Rule 17(3) of the Rules of Business, 1973, the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) known as the “Cabinet Committee on the Closure of Operations of the Utility Stores Corporation (USC), pending its privatization,” is composed of the members listed below:

The Member is also the Minister of State for Finance and Revenue.
The Member serves as both the Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication.
Secretary, Finance and Industries & Production Divisions.
To the Secretary of the Privatization Division;
The Secretary has officially approved BISP’s (Member) recommendations.

Govt to Shut Down USC? Ramazan Package Now Distributed via BISP

The Committee’s duties included determining the immediate closure of USC operations and creating a strategy for integrating USC employees into other government organizations or placing them in the surplus pool. They were also directed to collaborate with BISP in devising a plan for distributing the Prime Minister’s Ramazan Package.

In addition, the Committee has determined the course of action for maintaining and protecting USC property and assets during their sale, as well as addressing any other matters related to the university’s closure.

PM Ramazan Package 2024: Eligibility Criteria & How to Apply

The Prime Minister Ramzan Package does not have clear eligibility criteria in place, but only those who meet the requirements and have registered with the BISP Program through the NSER Survey will receive cash assistance.

By implementing this measure, the government of Pakistan guarantees both transparency and eligibility in the disbursement of Ramadan relief packages to families.

Register for BISP Ramadan Package 2025

If you meet the criteria for the Benazir Program 2025 and wish to receive monthly payments through the NSER new registration, the following steps must be taken.

To get started, sign up on the BISP website at the office.
Upon your visit, please obtain the form and complete it.
Submit the completed form to the BISP headquarters.
If you are a widowed woman, visit the BISP office after obtaining a death certificate from NADRA to apply for the BISP Program.
Once your document information and contact number have been verified, retrieve the funds from the nearest HBL Bank or Cash Center.
