CM Punjab Reduces Flour & Sugar Prices – New Relief Update!
During the month of Ramzan, the Government of Punjab has declared significant relief measures for the people throughout the province. According to CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz, there will be a reduction in the prices of Flour and Sugar, providing maximum support to citizens in acquiring essential food items.

Subsidized Flour & Sugar Prices
As per the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Negahban Ramzan Package 2025 is bringing about notable decreases in the prices of flour and sugar across the province.
According to Shoaib Jadoon, Director General of the Punjab Food Department, government-established special relief markets sold a total of 4,871 bags of flour within the past 24 hours.
Get Rs. 20 to Rs. 85 Subsidy
According to him, the relief stalls are providing a discount ranging from Rs 20 to Rs 85 on flour bags weighing 10 kg. As well, over 41,000 kg of sugar were also sold at these stalls at a fixed rate of Rs 130 per kg during the same period.
A total of 4,110 flour sacks were allocated in various regions: 301 in Sahiwal division, 213 in Faisalabad, 160 in Sargodha, 1,383 in Lahore division, and 579 in Gujranwala and Gujarat. Additionally, Rawalpindi districts received 1,198 sacks. Similarly, the Dera Ghazi Khan districts sold 576 sacks, while the Bahawalpur and Multan divisions sold 80 and 381 sacks respectively.

The DG Food stressed the ongoing efforts to ensure the public has access to affordable food supplies. As per the chief minister’s instructions, flour prices have been reduced and implemented immediately. In collaboration with the industry, essential items are available at discounted rates at sahulat stalls, while a consistent supply of wheat and sugar is also ensured.
Each year during the holy month of Ramadan, the Punjab government implements a relief package for low-income and deserving households. This aid has traditionally been provided through the establishment of Ramadan bazaars, offering discounted prices on specific foods.

Ramzan Nigehban Package: Rs 10,000 Relief for 3M Families – Update
Through the Nigahban Ramzan Package 2025, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is providing monetary assistance to 3 million deserving families with lower incomes. This year, each family will receive Rs 10,000 as part of this initiative.
Additionally, it was stated by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif that a digital wallet will be utilized to distribute Rs 5,000 to 4 million families, equivalent to approximately 20 million citizens, through the federal Ramazan Package 2025. He also highlighted that, unlike the previous year’s allocation of Rs 7 billion, this year’s Ramadan package has a significantly larger budget of Rs 20 billion.
