Here is one of the latest updates from the Government of Punjab for the eligible women living in village sites as the CM Punjab has launched another historic initiative for women across the Punjab who have been living in village sites as a divorce or widow lady.

11,000 worthy women in 12 districts in southern Punjab will receive buffaloes and cows valued at Rs2 billion from the Punjab government as part of this historic initiative.

CM To Give Cattle Worth Rs 2 Billion To Rural Women

In a historic move to empower rural women and close the economic divide between cities and countryside, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled a significant livestock distribution program aimed at widowed and divorced women in southern Punjab.

Poor village widows will receive cows and buffaloes, the chief minister declared. With a budget of Rs 2 billion, 11,000 rural women in 12 districts of southern Punjab would receive cows and buffaloes. The first phase of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s historic endeavor will provide up to 4870 animals.

Eligibility Requirement For The Program

  • must be a woman who is widowed or divorced.
  • The ideal age range is 18 to 55.
  • A current Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is required.
  • An entry in the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) is required.
  • must have a poverty score below the program’s specified cutoff.
  • Women without a steady income are given preference.
  • The applicant should not be working for the government or in the formal sector.
  • not getting regular financial aid from the government, such as a pension.

Online Application Process

The initiative has launched a mobile application that enables qualified women to apply from the comfort of their homes, making the procedure more accessible and user-friendly. Long trips to government offices are no longer necessary thanks to this digital option, which saves money and time.

First Phase Of Cattle Disbursement Program

4,870 animals in all would be given away for free in the first phase in areas including 

  • Dera Ghazi Khan, 
  • Muzaffargarh, 
  • Rajanpur, 
  • Layyah, and 
  • Kot Addu. Bahawalpur, 
  • Rahim Yar Khan, 
  • Vehari, 
  • Lodhran, 
  • Khanewal, 
  • and Multan are all included in the effort.

Punjab Livestock Assets Program

The goal of the CM Punjab Livestock Assets Program is to boost milk production while giving rural women domestic jobs. Rural women in Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Layyah, and Kot Addu will receive free livestock as part of this scheme. Poor women who have been divorced or widowed and are under 55 years old can also apply via the app while at home. To obtain free cattle, rural women can also get in touch with the Animal Hospital’s “Chief Minister Facilitation Desk.”

Women Social & Economic Development

With the words, “Our resolve is to eliminate the poverty gap between villages and cities,” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz underlined the significance of economic justice and equal opportunity. A daughter who lives in a village is entitled to economic advancement as well.
