1 Million Rs Allocated For Each New House Under AGAC: CM Meets With Chairman Amjad Saqib
Founder and Chairman of Akhuwat Doctor Amjad Saqib has had a detailed meeting with the Chief Minister of Punjab, according to the latest update from the Punjab Government. As a result of this meeting, the Punjab government is looking forward to discussing very important and special issues. Doctor Amjad Saqib praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for introducing the “Ghar Apni Chat” Scheme as well as providing enormous relief in electricity costs.
A new housing scheme will be launched by Maryam Nawaz
Doctor Amjad Saqib, Founder and Chairman of Akhuwat and former Chairperson of the 8171 BISP, met with the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. In his visit, he discussed many of the important aspects of the projects Maryam Nawaz has launched in such a short period of time, and also praised the Punjab Apna Ghar Apni Chat scheme for providing own houses to the poor who can’t afford one from any income source.

According to Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government is committed to assisting low-income families in becoming homeowners. In addition to introducing the “Apni Chhat… Apna Ghar” initiative, she stressed the importance of providing affordable housing for the less fortunate in society. This initiative, which has been hailed as one of the largest and most cost-effective home projects in Pakistani history, will be increased every year to ensure a broader impact.
The government will issue interest-free loans to subsidised houses
To ease the financial burden on the general population, she said that government subsidies will be provided and the program will be divided into simple monthly installments. According to the Punjab chief minister, the scheme is intended to promote the construction of environmentally friendly, sustainable homes. Innumerable families would be enriched by the opening of this ground-breaking housing project and millions of people would be employed as a result.

Three plans will be launched for the program

According to her, the project will be implemented in three phases as part of Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar. Rural residents can apply for loans up to Rs. 1.5 million for plots up to 10 marlas, and urban residents up to 5 marlas. The “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” scheme offers interest-free monthly repayments of Rs. 14,000.
Apartments will be built on government land in major cities and distributed in installment lottery plans over time. Private housing programs will offer three to five marla homes with subsidies of up to Rs 1 million. Those who apply for private housing complexes will have the option of becoming homeowners by making the final installment payments over a five-year period.
